About Me

I am Irina, the author of “DOVERIDER”.

 A little about myself…

Born in Tashkent to a Korean family, graduated in Moscow, married in Budapest and now living in Switzerland. Simple, isn’t it? My son would say this makes him dizzy 🙂

Coming from the corporate world with its corporate ethics, laws, dress codes and the like… I started my career as an auditor with an international audit firm (one of the BIG4) in 2006 and rose to Head of Budgeting and Consolidation in the upstream oil business.

I have shared the above because I have learned the hard way that professional success in the corporate world doesn’t necessarily lead to fulfilment and happiness. My EGO should have been happy with my successful career full of recognition and travel, and in that respect it was. But I myself wasn’t. Something was missing and it was a purpose.

My focus changed somewhat when I got married and moved to Budapest in 2014. By which time I was fully engaged as both a wife and mother, which has without a doubt been the best part of my life. But I lost self-confidence staying at home.

This period of my life was a kind of an unconscious “coma”, a time I spent without a real mission. Despite my happiness as a mother I couldn’t fully enjoy my life. I had a lot to share, but I didn’t know quite what it was.

I asked myself every day how I could get acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to create something meaningful. One day I asked the Universe to help me to “FIND MYSELF” and posted it onto the fridge. Then I looked at the post-it every day making an inventory of myself and analyzing my goals and the available resources to achieve them.

Since then I started to get closer to my life Purpose and my sense of Freedom every single day. I cannot stress highly enough how my life has changed since this Shift.

Flashes of insights are now sparking in my mind and I have realized that everything is possible: to do what you love, to work whenever you want, to start a business from scratch without any big investment, helping people and retaining financial freedom at the same time.

Most of us dream about self-realization, but sometimes we need a little help along the way. Someone who lends a helping hand in our taking our first (tentative) steps; shares insights; helps to find a purpose. I was a seeker and have for long been looking for help or any guidance in books and the internet over the past 16 years.

Dedicated to my parents, husband, son, sister and friends. Thank you for believing in me, for your support and love.

P.S: If all this resonates with you and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
